New venture will take advantage of state's tax
incentives

Hollywood's Raleigh Studios is teaming with Baton Rouge's Celtic Media
Center and Nova Features to produce films and videos in the newly
renovated Celtic site on 11.25 acres in the heart of the Louisiana city.
The new venture will take advantage of Louisiana's tax-incentive
programs, which partially defray production and studio infrastructure
costs.
Raleigh's Michael Moore winged from L.A. to Baton Rouge to join today's
press conference announcing ambitious plans with Celtic's owner, Brendan
O'Connor, and Nova's Christopher Fink, Roman Viaris and Sherri
McConnell.
McConnell said of Nova, "We are developing a slate of projects. We are
true believers in the talent in this state."
Baton Rouge escaped damage when both hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck
"on either side of us," McConnell added. |
